SL3 round 8: eh vs dac

island: AAssie, Tiggr, Rustray for eh vs Rypel, Chris, Chimmy for dac
It started as it often does, with me crashing, jumping bad as a result and flipping over. dac of course took the lead. Then I won the four next rounds, and with the help from my team mates we took three of them. But dac was there to grab the points whenever we made some small (or huge) mistakes. Now Rypel complained about lags, so we took a break to let dac put up a server. They didn't succeed very well, so I called guom. He was willing to give up some of his precious TV-time to host the match for us. Thanks mate . Somehow less lags for Rypel made the eh players better drivers. eh went from 3-2 to win the map 7-3. The third point for dac did of course come when I jumped into the second tunnel like an idiot and ended up surfing the tunnel wall. It has to be said that one of the dac players were pressuring me and that I probably got a little over excited .

coast: Rypel, Chris, Killervirus vs Gandos, Tiggr, AAssie
On this map Rypel early showed that he was the fastest on this map, and he won about half the rounds. eh on the other hand had a very good team play, which proved very useful. dac also suffered a bit from a not-very-well trained Chris, who was therefore a bit inconsistent, varying from quite good rounds to some bad ones). The score was quite close early on, but soon eh got the upper hand and took the lead 6-2. Then dac took the next three points, partly because of my three big crashes. But then when it mattered the most eh got their act together and won 7-5 with me setting a PB for the fourth time on this map.

bay: Gandos, Rustray, AAssie vs Redstorm, Rypel, Chris
This map really invited to crashes; an invite everybody accepted. It started well for me though, when I won the first five rounds. All the other players shifted on crashing. Sometimes Gandos or Rustray followed me, and other times the dac players run very good team rounds. After five rounds the score was 3-2. Now I went into somewhat of a dark period, probably because I had not eaten for many hours. I hit eigth lamps and five corners in the next five rounds, and in three of them I didn't even finish. But what happened when I started messing around? Well, Gandos and Rustray drove their best rounds of the match. So after my dark period the score was 5-5. To get myself back in shape I dropped my pants, since I was feeling a bit over heated. It worked like a charm and I won the next two rounds. The 6-5 round was pretty close for the point, with some intense battles being faught behind me. The last point went a bit easier and eh won 7-5.

eh won 3-0 after a very intense and well played match. This was by far our best match this season. It was very good to have Gandos back with his old consistency. And when Rustray and Tiggr followed up we had some nice team play. All honor to dac. They played very well, and I would say that even though we have lost two matches and drawed one this season, they are the strongest team we have faced this season.
