Welcome Ladies and Gentleman to the first international Episode of "Pathetic Destinies"!
Yesterday we had the gorgious showdown with the fusion of SFO and RG, two definitly leading teams in the world which both had some player and motivation problems last seasons which should be solved by this cooperation. In order to this, two double-teams met to demonstrate once again the masterwork of art in Division 1 to be as good as possible with as few train as possible.
This week we could celebrate the comback of rypel after nearly having finished his diploma thesis. Congrats As he was totally motivated to be back in train business, he drove all 3 Tracks this week.
Even with rypel we knew very clearly about the strength of our opponents and prayed for many crashed of them.
We started approximately on time with Island. For us we could bring on rypel, Skiller and me (Lolo) Our counterparts came up with "(almost) their best lineup": Takumy, Lookid and above all Vince.
It is kind of senseless to report every round here. We saw a really impressing performance of Vince who did many low 58's and made way too less mistakes. The rest of the crowd had a really hard and mostly narrow fight for the remaining positions. I don't know how often I was 2nd but it surely was often From my point of view, the start was very funny. Round for round I had an 0.2-0.4 lead after the first few turns. But unfortunately I couldn't protect this advantage for very long. All in all we saw a really even duell with very close rounds on an amazingly high level with just a bit too much crashing of both parties.
Oh wait, you can't finish the Island report now! The scores are totally missing! - Well, on the basis of the really even performance of both teams, we evidently reached a 6-6 draw. There we saw us confronted with the very same situation, we had nearly three times against LM last week (6-7, 6-7, 5-7). And again we kept up our trend never to win a final round in matches. But we almost had it... Sfouik made little mistakes, I was 1,5 seconds in lead in front of Vince and rypel behind. Already happy about the comfortable 1,3,5 victory, I lost my concentration in the turn before the last tunnel, made a small slide and then crashed swinging into the well known lantern. Consequently I fell back on the 4th place and gave away the point we already had. We lost Island 6-7 (keep in mind this score)...
Bay was next... We estimated very close runs here filled up with many crashes at the start which was quite evil for a rounds map. We drove with: rypel, x-ray and me (Lolo) Sfouik with: dridri, Takumy and Vince (or was it Lookid?) And our forecast has been fullfilled... In contrast to Island, there was no simply dominating driver and we all made little mistakes. Round for round, we had times from 59.7 to 1.01.00 and mostly all drivers were within this scope. Really amazing was dridri's finish performance. In countless rounds me, my teammates and the two other sfouik's got pwned by him in the very last turns. Simply impressing! Since the gaps between all players always were very tight and the average level amazingly high, we consequently again reached the 6-6 draw! 6-6 - do you remember? We already had this a few times recently...
And since it's our tradition, never to win a final round, we even couldn't win this one. Bay was lost 6-7 (what a nice score)
Last but not least we went on with Coast where we fortunately saw neither Dengel nor YannCalvin nor Riptor who was the track author. Sfouik drove with: Newboo, Sik and Lookid And we tried to duell them with: rypel, Skiller and x-ray x-ray, modest as usual, said that he was in some extent trained, but finally turned out to be in a very good form. But neither him or anyone other could cope with Newboo here... He drove botlike every round 1.08's and won every round except one in which he screwed up the start! That was pure ownage and congratulations for this impressing performance. The human part of the two teams had again a really hot fight with close runs and duells. Fortunately for us, Lookid was worse trained than us and mostly fought for position 5 or 6. Additionaly, Sik was very fast but proved that he was human by crashing off and on. Owing to our better consistency, we could win some rounds even with having always a Newboo in front. Therefore we came once again to that famous 6-6 equality you definitly heard of by now. And in order to prove that we were really being cursed by some kind of hidden mights, we also lost this one and it was once again really close, and it was really exciting and it was really disappointing... How typical it all was: Newboo was somewhere ahead, our 3 drivers did their best, Elsik crashed... but wait! Who is there in second position? Oh it's Lookid! Lucky as we are, Lookid was there for the very first time and especially then of all times! So we lost Coast also 6-7 - a score which starts to be quite famous and with which we are confronted more more frequently.
To sum it all up, it was a very equal match between two strong teams which ended very very unlucky for one team. The level was amazingly high, we can really appreciate our performance. Just sad that it was still not good enough. It's quite annoying to know that only 2 little points more and two less for our opponent would be a 3-1 victory for us, but anyway the season is not over yet and we will try to get some points from GTMT and the two german teams. |
